Editor's Procedure to Add a Documentation Page  

As CMS Documentation Editor, you will use the Cy Think content management system (CMS) is to add and modify Cy Think CMS documentation. This documentation is composed of web pages.

The procedures for adding and changing CMS web pages is not duplicated here. This procedure covers additional steps required for adding a CMS documentation page. Those other procedures are included by reference.

Use of these procedures is controlled by an access control system. You must be signed on and have appropriate authorization to execute these procedures.

Notice that the procedure for changing a documentation page is the same as changing any other CMS web page. Here is the link.

User's Procedure to Change a Web Page

Add a Documentation Page

  1. Add the page. See User's Procedure to Add a Web Page
  2. Use a similar existing page to copy and paste into the new page.
  3. Follow the established pattern for the subhead parameter.
  4. Add the new page to menudata.txt. See User's Procedure to Maintain Website Navigation Menus
  5. Add appropriate links, etc. to the content of syshelp.htm.
  6. Republish syshelp.htm and all other help pages so they will show the new menu items.
  7. View the page and make additional changes as needed.
